EC-B tower cranes are an irreplaceable part of the Liebherr product portfolio. Flat-top cranes feature excellent properties – both in erection and transport – and, thanks to the centerless design, enable safe working of multiple cranes on construction sites with limited space. Centerless cranes are the standard on today's job sites. To be prepared for the future, we took the good properties of the existing EC-B series as a basis and improved them with several highlights. The new crane also convinces the high-level jury of the Red Dot Design Awards with its impressive industrial design.
Of course, the new EC-B cranes can be combined with existing towers in our portfolio. So far, nothing special, right? They harness the power of the tower's systems as well as ever before. Thus, even the largest 370 EC-B Fiber Flat-Top crane with 21 HC 290 tower system can be used without restrictions – so you can achieve the best economy with a common tower system, already widely used in the market.
You have wide range even in series. In addition, we offer options to flexibly adapt boom lengths to your jobsite. With a span of three meters, the greatest reaches are achieved in all classes. With a 2.5 m long intermediate piece, the standard 5 m gradation can be further refined, so you can operate many different construction sites with your cranes.
Modern construction is characterized above all by greater complexity, lack of space and time and cost pressure. The demand for construction machines and their operators is growing, especially in the area of tower cranes. To support crane operators in their work and increase handling capacity, reliability and safety, the control of the new EC-B cranes offers the well-known Litronic assistance systems.
In the EC-B series upgrades, the focus was on the core of the crane: the turntable. Thanks to a weight-optimized design, it was possible to reduce up to a ton, depending on the type. In addition, both the cabs and the distribution board are attached to the turntable with quick connections, so they can be quickly assembled and disassembled. Downsizing is especially advantageous when only smaller mobile cranes are available.
With 2.35m² of base area, the LiCAB offers more space than previous Flat-Top cabins. A well-planned and well-organized interior, the individually adjustable control station and numerous features make the cab a second home.
No lift is too heavy for you either with the new EC-B cranes. With the Load Plus function, you get up to 20 % more loads at the touch of a button.
Optimized quick connects make connecting the turntable to boom and counterbalance easier and safer. In this way, it is possible to mount them under difficult weather conditions and in a slightly inclined position, i.e. downwards or upwards. This saves time in preparing the assembly.
