Plants that use the software S-PAA in Plant 4.0 has been standing out for production and efficiency records! A Cevasa plant, from Patrocínio Paulista (SP), closed the month of June creating new brands in its history.

Among the records recorded are the crushing of one million tons in less time (81 days); improved performance in % ART Extraction (97.1%) from processed cane; the use of time, with 99.83% in the agricultural area and 98.09% in the agroindustrial area; double production record sugar VHP in one month, which reached 31,255 tons.

In the agricultural area, the raw material quality record was also surpassed, with the total volume of sugar recovered (ATR) of 134.68 kg per ton; and in the machine yield with less losses in one month, with a record of 18,315 tc with 2.01% of harvest losses.

The plant also recorded a monthly efficiency and yield record with 91.75% of global industrial efficiency (EGI) and 95.09% of total corrected yield (RTC). And electricity sales, with 16,661 MWH exported in the month.

For Alberto Antonio da Silva, industrial manager of Cevasa, the records are the result of planning, a lot of training and dedication from the team. He also recalls that it has an innovative element, as in this harvest Cevasa started operating the software S-PAA in the area of energy and imbibition and the performance of the system became evident, guaranteeing greater stability in the steam and reducing the consumption of processes, allowing to improve the indexes of industrial efficiency and energy exportation, in addition to saving bagasse. “We are closing the indicators to measure the gains of the S-PAA, but the results are already visible”, he explains.

Records mark the harvest of SJC Bioenergia

The 2020/2021 harvest is being considered the best in the entire history of SJC Bioenergy. The “Transformation Harvest”, as it was titled, has already broken 32 records involving crushing (including daily, weekly, monthly and bimonthly), monthly harvest ahead, energy generated (daily and monthly), anhydrous ethanol, total ethanol, industrial availability and Total Corrected recovery – RTC. There are also six safety-related records (years without a lost-time accident) and the ISO 9001:2015 multisite certification.

Usina Rio Dourado achieved four milestones with historic records and no accidents in July. In crushed sugarcane, it was 494,488 thousand tons; ethanol 40,333 m3; anhydrous ethanol 39,118 m3 and energy 31,255.73 MW.

Usina São Francisco achieved three marks with historical records and two with records for the month of July: processed sugarcane was 770,589 thousand tons; ethanol 28,364 m3 and energy 59,224 MW. In addition, it achieved 98.14% of Industrial time utilization and 94.53% of Corrected Total Recovery – RTC.

In total, SJC broke two historical records in July: 1,265,077 tons of cane ground and 90,479 MW of energy produced.

The record numbers continue in August, and SJC reached on the 11th of the month, 5 million tons of sugar cane processed. Financial results are also good. The company had a net profit of R$ 209.1 million, according to the balance sheet released at the end of June, which was 161% above the value reported in the previous year, of R$ 79.9 million.

Like Alberto da Cevasa, the Corporate Industrial Manager at SJCMarcus Lages, recalls that the records obtained at the URD were obtained with the help of the S-PAA software. “Mainly because it guarantees milling stability, maintaining extraction efficiency and the stability of the entire industrial plant”, he says.

Abel Uchoa, General Director of SJC, stated that they are very satisfied with the transformations that the units are carrying out in this harvest.

"A SJC Bioenergy is consolidating, month after month, performances that will lead us to achieve the best harvest of all vintages. The records that have been broken are the result of the industrial and agricultural evolution that has been consistently built in our company”, he said.

The director also commented that this is only possible because “it is the result of work focused on safety and quality engineering, providing high operational performance, thus consolidating the verticalization of processes at SJC”.
